This was a manga page I sketched for fun for a Crossover Challenge at the ChristianComics forum.
I was thinking a good match-up of characters from different manga titles. I picked Soujirou vs Hiei due to their speed and sword-fighting abiilities. Of course, if no rules were set, Hiei could simply fry Sou-chan with his Black Dragon Technique (Jaou Ensatsu Kokoryuha) or some Makai power of his. How horrible! My poor fav. smiling psycho sword killer! (^__^) ;;;;
Anyway, from an art point of view, I was trying to recreate Nobuhiro Watsuki's style of hair shading/inking and I practised a bit more with screentones as shades. I think the only thing that looks less than perfect is Soujirou's face angle in the bottom panel. If I flip it over (like in a mirror), it doesn't look right but I guess I can live with that. XD
Hehe, I suppose I could write an actual story but I would have to find a reason why those two decided to have a duel! (0__0);;; (Oh no!)
