I'm amazed I found the time to color something. (-_-); But, I'm glad I did since it's almost Christmas.
I intended to a gradient change between a dark b&w world vs a bright colored world brought about by the birth of Jesus Christ. Former is on the left and the latter, right. Just in case, no one figures that out.
I think my lightings are a bit off (i.e. lamb is too white/lacking enough yellow shades, shadows not dark enough etc.) but I'm going to leave it as it is.
Photoshop coloring: 6 hours ....I know, I'm taking too long to do this. Bleh.
But MERRY CHRISTMAS! Welcome to our world, Lord Jesus Christ! (^___^)
AMAZING job, Mave!! I really love this piece...
and you are so right... before Christ our world wasn't easy...it still isn't easy..but having him to believe in makes it better.
Same with our own lives. Before our lives are completely darkness...with little hints of light, that eventually fade away... But when we ask Jesus to come in... the dark is instantly washed out by his glorious light... it's such a beautiful thing..
Happy Birthday, Lord Jesus!
Great piece, Mave...it looks amazing.

It's beautiful. The face and the robes are excellently shaded, the transition from light to dark was handled marvelously (not just -boom- there's the divider between the two), and the text really sells the piece. There's nothing really wrong with the lamb, it just doesn't seem to have quite the detail of the rest of the piece. Just too light in comparison, as you said, it seems. But don't pick it apart - it really is an amazing piece, Mave.
Thank you for blessing us with another reminder of what we're really celebrating. Merry Christmas and God bless.

Wow Mave, that's beautiful! I wish I could draw sheep XD J/k, but really, that's phenominal. Great message, too. It's like living in a black and white world without knowing Christ, missing so much but not even able to comprehend the difference. What a great life we're called to in Him! Thanks for the encouragement
